At this year's St Patrick's Day dinner, we celebrated Alexander's first birthday. It was a low key family dinner, with a lot of green. He opened his presents, but his favorite seemed to be the wrapping paper. Gritz also found a leprechaun cake which looked very much like him for us to sing happy birthday. It ended up being an early evening, but I was so glad that everyone was able to get together.
